Abstract: The peel strength, softness, and color fastness of knitted modal samples prepared by different hotpress adhesion technology were tested via the universal strength testing machine, the fabric stiffness tester, and the color-changing gray card. And the effects of different bonding temperatures, moisture, and pressure giving on the hot-press adhesion properties of the knitted modal fabric were investigated. The results showed that choosing the suitable hot-press adhesion process can empower the knitted modal fabric good wearability.Un-humidified hot-pressed adhesion for the modal fabric helped protect the color fastness, peel strength and  softness of the samples. And (120-160)±10 ℃ is the appropriate hot-pressing temperature. Proper pressure can ensure that the bonded fabric has good color fastness and softness, and strong peel strength.
