Abstract: With the incoming “Internet Plus” era, a new generation of digital technology represented by virtual fitting has innovated the design and development, effect evaluation, and pattern optimization of clothing. The virtual fitting software is used to virtually stitch the patterns and simulate the actual try-on to obtain an intuitive fitting effect, but how to objectively evaluate the try-on effect from an ergonomic point of view is a problem that needs a further solution. The paper studies the establishment of clothing evaluation indicators in the virtual fitting technology via the CLO-3D virtual fitting software. A virtual fitting model is generated based on 3D body size data, and then a two-dimensional clothing model is imported for virtual stitching, and the clothing evaluation indicators as well as pattern optimization is established from four perspectives of perspective view, pressure diagram, deformation rate and contact points.
