Abstract: As the rapid development of the domestic rail transit industry in recent years, the lightweight requirements for the rail locomotive have become ever higher, so that carbon fiber composites have become the key R&D direction for the rail transit industry. This paper introduces the advantages of carbon fiber composites in the field of rail transit, and analyzes in detail the technical progress of carbon fiber composites for rail transit in carbon fiber, resin, molding process, as well as its related typical application in the field of rail transit. In the end, the paper points out the problems and challenges faced by the application of carbon fiber composites in the field of rail transit, and puts forward effective countermeasures.
