Abstract: The paper briefly describes the characteristics and development of semi-worsted technology independently developed in China, and analyzes the performance feature of semi-worsted yarns such as high-count cashmere blended yarn, wool/cotton blended yarn and functional yarn developed in recent years.The paper introduces the yarn of circular knitting machine developed by the semi-worsted process, and its application on woolen fabrics, worsted fabrics, specialty fabrics and home textiles. Finally, the paper pointed out that semi-worsted technology has become an innovation spinning technology with distinctive characteristics in China's spinning industry. Its products are rich in variety, high in added value and have good development prospects.
