Abstract: This paper mainly introduces the current research status of fancy yarns, and the production technology of new special fancy yarns as well as some fancy yarns developed by some textile universities and fancy yarns enterprises, including electromagnetic intelligent yarn, color gradient yarn, segment colored yarn, positioning wrapped slub yarn, precision fancy yarn, voice yarn, high-quality knickerbocker yarn, friction spinning, high-count flocked yarn, composite core-spun fancy yarn, new-type thrums, functional yarn, chenille yarn, spraying belt yarn, core-spun belt yarn, high-count raised yarn, etc. And it looks forward the development trend of fancy yarns.
