Abstract: When facing extremely cold weather, or having winter outdoor activities for the whole day, to wear conventional winter clothing may not be adequate to keep warm in the harsh environment. A thermal garment with conductive function is an effective solution. At present, the thermal functional garment on the market mainly uses the carbon fiber electrothermal principle to generate heat, but its manufacturing cost is high, its production process is complicated, and its production cycle is longer than others. This paper introduces a low-cost plasma metal plating technology to design and develop a thermal garment material.The fabric surface is coated with a conductive metal film, which can effectively heat when connected to a portable battery.
