Abstract: This paper carries out a study on the spinning principle of the cyclical section-color slub yarn and the weaving principle of the weft-knitted fabric. Based on the distribution rules of section-color slubs on yarn, the pattern formation principle of section-color slub yarn with different cycle periods on the weftknitted fabric under same fabric width was also investigated. It was found that when the fabric width is certain, the pattern formation is affected by the length and quantity of the section-color slub, and the length of the base yarn. By changing the length and amount of the basic yarn and section-color slub, various patterns can be formed.
