Abstract: The paper demonstrates the relationship between dyeing and finishing technology and product development & innovation. By analyzing how the innovation of dyeing and finishing technology promotes product development, this paper discusses the relationship between product development & innovation and market positioning for target consumers. And it draws the conclusion that printing and dyeing enterprises should find right position on market based on their resource endowments; tailor their newly-developed products to the target market; and take integrated marketing strategies that can help to identify the needs,adapt to the needs and satisfy the needs.
