Abstract: The paper analyzes the current application and existing problems of Chinese knot buttons, points out how to redesign and improve them and carries out an innovative experiment on the materials, structures and technique for making Chinese knot buttons. Based on case study, it also explores how to apply them in product design, aimed at inspiring people to consider how to integrate this traditional handicraft with modern design and arousing the attention of more consumers, especially young people to this traditional art, so that it can be more effectively carried on through their inheritance and dissemination.
