Abstract: In order to increase the thickness of three-dimensional woven fabric, two design schemes were proposed. Experimental study was carried out on weaving thicker n-layer orthogonal angle-interlock fabric on multi-eyelet loom, then four types of looming draft (including cross-sectional image of warp-wise direction, drafting plan, pegging plan and weft insertion plan) were drawn up. Through practical experiments,orthogonal angle-interlock fabrics were successfully woven with the two schemes. The results show that both the two design schemes can be used for weaving fabrics of different thickness and they have their respective weaving characteristics.
