Abstract: Tassels and fringes are important ornaments for ladies’ haute couture. Along with the developing of ladies’ haute couture, tassels and fringes are increasingly used on ladies’ haute couture. Tassels and fringes are diversified. Based on statistics and analysis of tassel- or fringe-decorated ladies’ haute couture, this article mainly investigates the decoration method, technique and appearance of silk tassels and fringes as well as their positions and shapes on ladies’ haute couture, hoping to offer reference for proper application of tassels and fringes in the design and manufacturing of ladies’ haute couture.
