Abstract: With the rapid development of China national defense and aerospace industry, wave-transmitting materials for radome have become a hot research topic in recent years. Radome materials are used for ensuring the normal work of aircraft in a variety of harsh environments. So in order to select and use proper materials, the basic properties of wave-transmitting materials for radome are introduced, current research progress of inorganic nonmetallic materials and organic composite materials for radome is summarized, and the reinforcing fibers and matrix resins often used in ceramic wave-transmitting materials and wavetransmitting composites were presented in this article. Moreover, the existing problems as well as the developing directions in the wave-transmitting materials are discussed.
