Abstract: Both Chinese traditional color and cheongsam are the essence of Chinese traditional culture with a long history. Color, as one of the three elements of clothing design, is the most popular presentation form of visual elements. By discussing the common features and inherent relation of traditional Chinese color and cheongsam which have typical Chinese artistic features, this paper tries to explore how to flexibly apply Chinese traditional color into cheongsam design, make them complement each other, echo each other, so as to fully display the essence of Chinese traditional color culture and promote profound Chinese traditional costume culture.
