Abstract: Compared with designing courses, garment construction technology courses seem uninteresting at the beginning stage of learning and demand a great amount of practice and training to learn and master the techniques of garment modeling and manufacturing. To make students’ independent learning “at their own will” during practice and training, teachers have to develop new teaching methods. This paper discusses how to break traditional teaching modes and introduce innovative teaching thoughts and modes to garment construction technology course.
