The Preparation and Absorption Performance of Microcrystalline Cellulose-based Hierarchical Composites

2017年1月19日

Abstract: In this paper, in-situ synthesis of manganese dioxide was carried out by using KMnO4 and MnSO4 as raw materials and microcrystalline cellulose as a carrier, and then the hierarchical composites were prepared. The microstructure and chemical composition of MnO2/cellulose were characterized by SEM, EDS, FT-IR and XPS. The effects of time and the concentration of the precursor KMnO4 on the adsorption of heavy metal ions were also discussed. The results showed that the layered composites MnO2/cellulose have the highest adsorption capacity to Pb2+ when the quality of the precursor KMnO4 was 4 mmol/L and the time was 400 min. The maximum adsorption capacity to Pb2+ can reach 265.3 mg/g.
