Abstract: This paper reviews the research on the effect of cooling rate on crystallization and mechanical properties of polymer melt-spun fibers. The cooling rate had an influence on crystallization rate, crystal form and grain sizes of as-spun fiber, and the microstructure of the as-spun fiber had a strong influence on the after-drawing process and the mechanical properties of the finished fiber. Cooling rate of as-spun fiber is one of the important factors that influence the mechanical properties of finished fiber.
