Abstract: According to the current development of knitting industry and characteristics of knitted products,innovative ideas in time, range and depth dimensions are introduced in this paper. Then the paper analyzes product innovation in each dimension from the aspects of idea, content and method and supported with typical knitted product samples. Finally it points out that time, range and depth represent the three different levels and stages of product development, and only by continuous innovation and improvement can China’s knitting industry improve its competitive power in the international market.
