Abstract: Traditional lotus patterns are regarded as being short of the sense of modernity and incompatible with the looks of modern garment. In order to make lotus patterns more fashionable and cater to the aesthetic taste of consumers, based on summing up and analyzing the connotations and the uses of lotus patterns,the paper probes into the feasibility of redesigning traditional lotus patterns in terms of color, structure and composition, and turning them into innovative and modified patterns.
