Abstract: The innovative process designs for corduroy production described in this paper have broken down the monopoly of pique stripe or corded structure of corduroy. By changing weave structures and crossing points, these designs try to change the look of corduroy and by using weft pile weave to show fancy structures such as “dot”, “line” and “surface”. By discussing different fabric samples woven with different binding methods, the paper proposed key techniques to be noticed during weaving and explained thoroughly the concept of yarn-dyed jacquard corduroy.
