A Study on the Brake Characteristics of Electric-spindle Spinning Machine

Abstract: In order to reduce yarn tension during winding on spinning machine and cut down broken ends,the paper optimized and designed the speed adjustment curve for the brushless DC motors of electric spindles. Meanwhile, to realize quick braking of the motors and solve the problem of insufficient braking torque of the regenerative braking under low speed, it proposed the mixed braking control strategy, which combines energy regenerative braking and reverse braking and carried out a simulation analysis with MATLAB/SIMULINK. The result shows that compared with the free stop of electric spindle motors, the proposed method can reduce the braking time by up to 80%, increase the power of the storage battery by 0.007 5% and obtain good braking efficiency.
