Abstract: The paper first introduces the features of 2016 China International Trade Fair for Fibers and Yarns (Yarn Export Spring 2016), and then analyzes the characteristics and applications of some new yarn collections shown on the exhibition, including superior yarn, color-spun yarn, flax yarn, super imitation cotton yarn, functional yarn and vortex-spun yarn. It points out that adopting various innovative fibers and advanced spinning processes and developing various novel yarns is an important path for textile spinners to upgrade products, avoid competition due to product homogeneity and realize sustainable development.
