2016年3月11日

Abstract: China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) was established on Jan. 1, 2010. For more than five years, with “zero tariff” to bilateral textile and garment trade in full operation and the transfer of global garment processing industry to Southeast Asian countries, ASEAN nations have constantly improved their garment export competitiveness and meanwhile they have increased their imports of textiles from China. The article analyzed the effects of CAFTA on China’s textile exports based on analyzing the data from 2010 to 2014. The upgraded version document of CAFTA signed between China and ASEAN on Nov. 22, 2015 will bring new opportunities to China’s textile exports and it will also facilitate a full range of cooperation of Chinese textile enterprises with ASEAN countries in wider areas and at higher level.
