Abstract: The paper discusses the process of designing and developing an iron-free cotton/cashmere yarndyed fabric and the related technical essentials of the production process. Cashmere and cotton are separately dyed before spinning, weaving and iron-free finishing. The resulted fabric has smooth surface, soft shade, luxury quality, good moisture-absorbent and air-permeability and high value added. Clean production concept is introduced to the entire production process from fiber to fabric, coping with the sustainable and eco-friendly fashion trend.
