Abstract: A new method employing ultrasonic extraction and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) has been developed for determination of alkylphenols and alkylpheol polyethoxylates in textiles. The sample was extracted with ultrasonic extraction method by using methanol as extracting agent and methanol-acetonitrile-water (78∶9∶3, V/V) as mobile phase. Then, it was separated with Diamonsil C18 (2) chromatographic column, determined with fluorescence detector (FLD) and quantitated with external standard method. Compared with conventional methods, this method has shortened the extraction time and improved the extraction efficiency, meanwhile increased the throughput of chromatographic separation and analysis. The method has high practicability since it could be easily performed in ordinary laboratory which only has a conventional liquid chromatograph and an ultrasonic extractor.
