Abstract: Parameter-setting of sizing process has significant influence on sizing quality and consequently on weaving quality. The paper first introduced briefly the contents of sizing process and the key factors to be considered during process design, and then it analyzed the effect of process settings on sizing quality, including the effect of solid content and squeeze intensity on size pick-up, the effect of size pick-up on sizing quality, the effect of high squeeze intensity and high size pick-up on cover factor and the effect of cover factor on sizing quality.
