Abstract: China has rich textile-related intangible cultural heritage. However, commercial and industrial production has caused the degeneration of traditional techniques such as ethnic and folk spinning, weaving, dyeing and embroidery. Some elite clothing designers draw nutrients and inspiration from textile-related intangible cultural resources by either inheriting the original arts, or making revolutionary transformation, or borrowing some elements, thus designing clothes with unique flavor, revitalizing textile-related intangible cultural heritage by way of living conservation.
