The Influence of Chitosan Hybrid Membrane on the Anti- Ultraviolet Properties of Cotton Fabrics

2015年10月19日

Abstract: Cotton fabric was modified by chitosan hybrid membrane with inorganic metal ions. Ultraviolet radiation tester was used to evaluate the influence of the inorganic salt, crosslinking agent, temperature, time and concentration on the anti-ultraviolet properties of the cotton fabric. Compared with the cotton fabric, the anti-ultraviolet behaviors of the fabric modified by inorganic salts and a minopropyltriethoxysilane(KH550) descended. The fabric modified by MgCl2/chitosan showed better anti-ultraviolet performance(UPF=28.8).The optimum modification process was MgCl2 2 g/L, chitosan concentration 1%, 40 ℃ and 60 min, in which the UPF value reached up to 30+.
