Abstract: Lace fabrics knitted on 28G multi-bar Textronic raschel warp-knitting machine are nowadays always popular among consumers because of its airy and transparent appearance, smooth handle and strong three-dimensional effect. In this paper, the design and development of warp-knitted 28G Textronic lace fabric was studied. Firstly, the characteristics of the latest Textronic lace machine were introduced. Secondly,the requirements on the pattern design of warp-knitted lace were explained. Thirdly, the process planning methods of warp-knitted 28G Textronic lace were described in details, including pattern design, distribution of bars, parameter setting, process design of patterning bars and jacquard bars and selection of raw materials, etc.. The results shown in this paper are helpful to improve the research and production of this kind of lace.
