Abstract: as a kind of garment made for schoolchildren, schoolchildren sportswear is essential in their physical activities. This paper concluded the performance design requirements of sportswear for schoolchildren, which should contain security, protection, wearing comfort and functionality. Besides, in the performance design of schoolchildren sportswear, designer should focus on the clothing structure and details, according to the physical characteristics of schoolchildren. Then the well-designed sportswear would provide a full range of protection and wearing comfort so that the schoolchildren could enjoy sports and keep a healthy body and mind.
