Abstract: In this paper, natural down was treated by oxidizing agent(NaClO) and crosslinking agent(WS) to improve its fill power. The dosage of agents and reaction conditions were studied through single factor experiment. The results showed optimal conditions were as follows: in oxidation reaction, the dosage of NaClO 1.2 g/L, temperature 50 ℃, time 60 min; in crosslinking reaction, the dosage of WS 1.5 g/L, initial pH value 4.5, final pH value 6.5, temperature 50 ℃, time 40 min. The fill power of nature down increased obviously after being treated by the optimal process.
