Abstract: The applications of three kinds of recreated paper-cut patterns, including human architecture pattern, geometric pattern and animal and floral pattern in sweater pattern design are discussed in this paper. Inspiration of these patterns, pattern design, pattern knitting process and fabric effect are analyzed in details.The results show that high-quality, diversified and high value-added sweaters can be designed and developed by combining paper-cut patterns with sweater pattern design, which is also a practice of inheriting the art culture and humanistic spirit of traditional paper-cut handicraft.
