Abstract: The paper analyzes the shortcomings of microfiber-based synthetic leather and relevant causes,and introduces in details the four methods for improving its hygienic properties, i.e. modifying the microfiber, modifying the polyurethane resin, improving the synthetic leather production technology and adopting real leather processing technology. It also introduces the latest research and development in this aspect at home and abroad.
