Development of Laminated Protective Fabric with Fluorescent Water-proof and Moisture-permeable Properties

Abstract: In this paper, a new kind of protective fabric with fluorescent water-proof and moisture-permeableproperties is developed by laminating the fluorescent water-proof and moisture-permeable PU film preparedby mixing rare-earth strontium aluminate into polyurethane adhesive with the fine nylon substrate by wayof transfer coating with release paper. The selection of the substrate and adhesive, the preparation of thefilm and the laminating process are introduced in details; the fluorescent performance and the water-proofand moisture-permeable properties are tested. The test results show that the laminated fabric can meet therequirements for making protective clothes.
