China’s Textile and Apparel Exports up 2% from January to November

According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs, driven by the stable foreign trade ensuring policies, rebounded overseas market demand and last year’s low base, China’s textile and apparel exports rebounded year-on-year in the January to November period.

In CNY-denominated terms, from January to November, the cumulative textile and apparel exports amounted to 1.94 trillion yuan, up by 3.2% year-on-year. Thereinto, the textile exports totaled 915.96 billion yuan, increasing by 6% year-on-year; apparel exports were 1.03 trillion yuan, seeing a year-on-year growth of 0.9%.

In November, textile and apparel exports reached 179.09 billion yuan, up by 5.1% year-on-year. Among them, textile exports amounted to 86.47 billion yuan, growing by 7.8% year-on-year; apparel exports were 92.62 billion yuan, up by 2.7% year-on-year.

In US$-denominated terms, textile and apparel exports totaled US$ 273.06 billion from January to November, up by 2% year-on-year. Among them, textile exports were US$128.84 billion, up by 4.6% year-on-year; apparel exports reached US$144.22 billion, declining by 0.2% year-on-year. In November, textiles and apparel exports amounted to US$25.17 billion, seeing a year-on-year increase of 6.8%. Thereinto, textiles exports were US$12.16 billion, up by 9.5% year-on-year; apparel exports were US$13.02 billion, increasing by 4.3 % year-on-year.
