LONG-LASTING PERFORMANCE FIT
XLANCE® Fiber provides textiles with a combination of features unmatched with any other elastic fiber, without compromising the aesthetics determined by the base fiber. Designed to enable stretch in new applications, XLANCE® allows yarn spinners and mills to create innovative fabrics for garments with soft stretch, easy care, and durability.
XLANCE®’ inherent elasticity matches body movement bringing fit and comfort, handling extensive wear while retaining its shape. This unique elasticity is everlasting, thanks to its inherent resistance to UV rays and sweat.
UV RAYS & SWEAT RESISTANCE
XLANCE® is resistant to the combination of UVA and UVB radiations and suntan lotions. Compared to Spandex, XLANCE® outperforms when exposed to UV light.
XLANCE® is characterized by the absence of any easily-attackable group in his polyolefin backbone and by the presence of the covalent crosslinks. This gives XLANCE® an excellent resistance to any aggressive chemical agents, such as strong acids, alkalis, oxidizing agents, enzyme wash conditions.
These features are particularly useful when applied to sportswear, as tests showed how the garments resist to intense use, sweat and multiple washes.
Home laundry bleaching conditions and most extreme washing and tumble drying cycles (tested according to ISO 6330-5A) won’t affect XLANCE® inherent elastic and chemical properties.
EASY SET
Due to its molecular architecture, XLANCE® guarantees 100% heat set efficiency already starting from 120°C, thus enabling the use with thermos sensible fibers.
The unique elastic fiber can be processed with Polypropylene.
XLANCE® is the only elastomer that can be processed with Polypropylene. This unique feature is rising much interest between sportswear brands.
Combining XLANCE® with polypropylene creates extremely performant fabrics, with superior moisture management capability and improved thermal regulation. This combination is also extremely lightweight and breathable, providing the skin a pleasant feeling of freshness.
Exceptional comfort meets exceptional durability. XLANCE® combined with polypropylene remains stable in size and resists breakage, can be machine washed at high temperatures and resists very well to friction.
