According to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to April, the profit of China's industrial enterprises above designated size totaled CNY 2.66 trillion, seeing a year-on-year rise of 3.5%. The profit of manufacturing industry totaled CNY 1.98 trillion, down by 8.3% year-on-year.

From January to April, the business income of textile enterprises above designated size reached CNY 800.78 billion, increasing by 7.5% compared with the same period the previous year; the profit of textile industry totaled CNY 26.63 billion, with year-on-year growth of 1.0%. While the business income of enterprises above designated size in the apparel and accessories industry reached CNY 444.05 billion, up by 8.1% year-on-year; the profit of the apparel and accessories industry reached CNY 19.09 billion, with year-on-year growth of 1.9%.

From January to April, the business income of leather, fur, feather and their products and footwear industry reached CNY 350.69 billion, up by 7.9% year-on-year; their profit totaled CNY 16.43 billion, with year-on-year growth of 1.6%.

From January to April, the business income of enterprises above designated size in the chemical fiber manufacturing industry was CNY 340.31 billion, up by 11.2% year-on-year; and its profit totaled CNY 9.72 billion, plunging by 53.6% year-on-year.
