Abstract: This paper concludes the main characteristics of China’s apparel exports based on the data analysis of China’s clothing exports, main export destinations and trade modes during the 20 years after China’s accession to the WTO, which can be described as follow. Firstly, the clothing export trade has mainly experienced three stages: rapid growth, steady growth and gradual decline in scale. Secondly, China’s clothing export business entities are mainly private enterprises. Thirdly, China’s clothing exports are mainly general trade. Fourthly, China’s clothing cross-border E-commerce export trade is developing rapidly in recent years.
