Abstract: The invention of wool felt has catered to the nomadic lifestyle of the Mongolians and reflected their aesthetic taste. Along with the development of social productive forces, the application scope of wool felt has been constantly extended. The paper introduces the historical heritage and cultural connotation of Mongolian wool felt, and analyzes in details the process of felt making and related knitting patterns.
