Abstract: Recently, high-performance fiber-made paper has become a hot research topic thanks to its high technological content, wide applications and high added value. At present, the most commonly used high-performance fibers for paper-making include aramid fiber, carbon fiber, polyimide fiber,poly (p-phenylenebenzobisoxazole) (PBO) fiber, polybenzimidazole (PBI) fiber, silicon carbide fiber,polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fiber, basalt fiber, etc. The paper can be made with either wet processing method or dry processing method. The article introduces the latest developments in the research, production and applications of high performance fiber-made both at home and abroad and analyzes the research emphasis in the future.
