Abstract: The paper introduced the development of six common and popular types of fancy yarn, such as slubby yarn, segment colored yarn, color-spot yarn, flake yarn and AB yarn, and the development some specialty yarn by combining several different technologies. It also pointed out some works should be done during developing new yarns and the economic benefits can be obtained.
