Editor’s Note: ITMA 2015 is the world largest platform for showcasing new equipment, new technologies and new services to the entire textile and garment manufacturing industry under the motto of “Source Sustainable Solutions”.In each exhibition hall, exhibitors as always present forward-looking technologies and share their latest technological developments. To sum up, low-carbon, intelligent, flexible, high-efficiency and integration are some of the keywords for technological progress. Meanwhile, ITMA 2015 also shows some new developing trends: first, some revolutionary technologies have emerged, for example, Mayer & Cie.’s spinitsystems? technology – knitting and spinning all in one; second, services have further developed to offer optimized and complete solutions, for example, using new generation of information technology to help customers realize easy and simple management of the entire production chain; and third, the boundaries between different processes have become blurred, for example, knitting technology penetrating into traditional application fields of woven products. Moreover, technical textiles processing technology has aroused particular attention and related materials, equipment and process become hot spots of R&D.

Starting from this issue, “China Textile Leader” will sum up one by one the new equipment, new technologies and new concepts in chemical fiber, spinning, weaving (including knitting), printing & dyeing and nonwoven sectors,aimed at helping relevant domestic enterprises to get a better understanding of the latest developments of textile technology in the world and offering certain reference for their technical innovation and product development work.
