Since the beginning of this year, the textile and apparel industry in Jiangxi Province has developed well, with major economic indicators achieving substantial growth. 　　 

From January to February, the main business income of Jiangxi's textile and apparel industry achieved CNY 22.4 billion, seeing a year-on-year increase of 37.1%. Its profit totaled CNY 1.41 billion, surged by 66.8% year-on-year. The actual export was US$ 845 million, ballooned by 142.2% year-on-year. Thereinto, the export of apparel was 177 million pieces, up by 22.7% year-on-year. The export of yarn reached 223,000 tons, increased by 46.7% year-on-year. The export of cloth was 110 million meters, rose by 29.8% year-on-year. And the export of chemical fibers totaled 174,000 tons, seeing a year-on-year increase of 52.2%.
