From January to October 2020, China’s chemical fiber output was 56.09 million tons, seeing a slight increase of 0.3% year-on-year. Among them, the output of polyester fiber was 44.54 million tons, up 1.2% year-on-year; the output of polyamide fiber was 3.84 million tons, up 2.2% year-on-year, maintaining a positive growth since August; the output of viscose staple was 3.43 million tons, down 10.8% year-on-year; the output of spandex was 770,000 tons, increased by 5.4% year-on-year.

From January to October, the operating income of China’s chemical fiber industry achieved CNY 658 billion, down 11.8% year-on-year. Total profit reached CNY 16.2 billion, declined 30.0% year-on-year.
