According to the latest statistics, in August 2020, China imported 16 million meters of cotton cloth, seeing a month-on-month increase of 1.02% and a year-on-year decrease of 27.13%; exports of cotton cloth reached 651 million meters, down 0.42% month-on-month, and up by 7.83% year-on-year. The net exports were 635 million meters, down 0.46% month-on-month and increased by 9.18%.

From January to August 2020, China imported 121 million meters of cotton cloth, declined by 37.52% year-on-year; the cumulative exports totaled over 4.16 billion meters, down 21.04% year-on-year.
