According to the latest statistics released by China Customs, in March, China imported 192,400 tons of cotton yarn, seeing an increase of 37.05% month-on-month, and an increase of 0.58% year-on-year; while the exports of cotton yarn reached 31,900 tons, surged by 44.02% month-on-month, down19.86% year-on-year. The net imports were 160,600 tons, up 35.74% month-on-month and increased by 5.94% year-on-year.
From January to March 2020, China imported a total of 476,000 tons of cotton yarn, down 0.57% year-on-year; and the cumulative exports were 76,200 tons, down 24.14% year-on-year.
